This sock filter kit is designed for use on the inlet side of the Bosch FP200-7 High Output Fuel Pump (Part No. FP200, sold separately). It also fits the previous-generation Bosch "044" FP200 pump (formerly Part No. FS FP044).

The free-flowing 60-micron synthetic filter features an integral plastic "skeleton" to prevent it from sucking closed under high fuel draw. The included aluminum adapter has M18 (18x1.5mm) male threads to fit the inlet of the FP200 pump. The filter sock measures 135mm long x 53mm wide, and the assembly adds just 20mm to the length of the pump when installed. This setup is only used when the pump is submerged in the tank. It is not used when the pump is installed outside the tank. Anodizing color on the adapter may vary.

Tip 1: The filter and adapter are shipped unassembled. This eliminates the need for a special thin wrench to get between the filter and the pump. Simply install the adapter in the pump first using a normal wrench, then install the filter on the adapter.

Tip 2: When assembling the filter to the adapter, place the filter on a solid, flat surface and press straight down on the adapter. Do not attempt to hold the filter with your hand while pressing in the adapter. Failing to properly support the filter may break the filter's internal cage.
