Never change points again! This electronic (breakerless) distributor is designed for use in FF2000/FC/Sports 2000 (Ford 2.0L SOHC "Pinto") engines. It is legal for SCCA FC per FCS 9.1.1.B.15.v.
The cast aluminum housing is designed as an exact replica of the old Bosch distributor, right down to the cap. All electronics are contained in the distributor housing (no black box required). The internals use the proven Pertronix Ignitor II breakerless ignition system for excellent reliability. It features both mechanical advance and a vacuum advance. 12 volt, negative ground only. Includes a Pinto distributor drive gear.
The Pertronix Flame-Thrower II Ignition Coil (Part No. 1315-201, sold separately) is required with this distributor. The Ignitor II produces so much energy, it will shorten the life of a standard coil.
Note: Never use solid-core spark plug wires with this distributor. Our Taylor Spiro-Pro spark plug wire set (Part No. 1310-4-00) is suitable for use with this distributor.
