Great Value, Great Fastener!

I use these nuts for my TiAL wastegate vband clamps. The clamps come with really small locking nuts just like these Jetnuts, but their locking ability is lacking. The TiAL supplied nuts had eventually gotten loose after a few times removing and reusing them. They are made of a plated copper and aren...'t magnetic which made it really tough to install in tight spaces. In comes these amazing Jetnuts. They are one of the few slim style nuts that I could find at a decent price. A 5 pack of TiAL replacement nuts costs $12 locally. A normal sized nut for this thread pattern wouldn't work since the space is limited on my clamps. The first thing I noticed about the Jetnuts is that they have enough iron content to be magnetic!!! I used a magnet stick to fish them in and start the threads in what would have taken 10-20 minutes of dropping and cursing for the non-magnetic TiAL nuts. The next thing I noticed was that the locking feature really worked great. Almost too great since its some work to remove them even after it has broken loose. I wouldn't demerit its locking ability since I won't be removing it that often. Last but not least, these nuts are lighter than what they replaced. It's a tiny nut so it is probably insignificant for my car, but if a whole car used nothing but these, it would be very noticeable. Having a slimmer hex also gives more room for tools to remove them. Smaller sockets fit into tighter spaces, so that would be another plus. I am going to replace all of my turbo side nuts to these the next time I remove the manifold. This would allow me to remove everything easier without having to use specialty or homemade tools for those tough areas. I would just be able to use the closed box end of my wrenches where I couldn't before.
