AN Bulkhead Fittings
When you need to run a hose from one side of a panel to another, the preferred method is to use a bulkhead fitting. This eliminates the chance of the panel edge chafing or cutting the hose. This method also eliminates drilling an oversized hole that must be sealed afterwards.
Equivalent AN numbers are given for reference where applicable. These fittings conform to JIC and SAE specifications.
Note: AN nomenclature can be confusing because the nominal size does not refer to the outside diameter of the threads. If the sizes are confusing you, please have a look at our Technical Document explaining The Logic Behind AN Hose and Fitting Sizes.
