Now you can add a screen filter to your fuel or oil system, even if there is no room to spare! This special filter fits into any male 6AN fitting and adds less than 0.03" to the length of the fitting.
To install, simply unscrew your female 6AN hose end or coupler from your male 6AN fitting. Slip this filter inside the male fitting, and reinstall the female. The metal collar matches the 37° AN flare on the male fitting to maintain a perfect seal. The 250 micron screen is fine enough to remove medium-sized trash (comparable to beach sand) without restricting flow. Great for protecting the inlet side of a moderate-volume fuel pump! The screen portion measures approximately 1 3/8" long, but it can be bent to fit inside angled fittings. Cleanable and reusable.
Tip: Install the filter so that flow goes from the inside of the screen to the outside. Installing it backwards may cause the screen to collapse.
