Hatch Latch, Long Hook, Small Button

This pushbutton latch is ideal for securing a hinged panel such as the roof escape hatch on a funny car. When installed and latched, only the 2 small flush-mount buttons (plus 4 fasteners) are visible from the outside.

Simply press the center button or pull the interior hook to latch. The end button swings up, and its arm holds the panel closed. To release, press the end button. (Add a tether strap to the end button inside the car to allow the driver to release the latch.)

Each button measures 13/16" diameter, with 1 5/8" center-to-center spacing. The hook extends over 1 5/8" from the back of the panel, and the entire unit measures 4 1/8" long overall when latched. The stainless steel construction and clear anodized aluminum buttons resist corrosion. Mounts using four 1/8" rivets on the center square plate (rivets sold separately). Sold individually.
