This cast aluminum remote filter head features a 5/8-18 threaded port to accept a mechanical oil temperature sensing bulb. The side inlet and outlet ports are designed for oil to flow from right to left (when looking at the top or front of the unit).
Stewart-Warner and Auto Meter mechanical temperature gauges require our Temperature Bulb Extension Nut, Part No. 1209. If no gauge is to be used, the port can be plugged with our 5/8-18 Aluminum Plug, Part No. 3602.
Inlet and outlet ports are both threaded to accept 1/2 BSP male adapter fittings (sold separately). Accepts most spin-on oil filters with a 3/4-16 thread such as the Fram HP-1 or K&N HP3001 (sold separately).
