Upgrade from cylinder head bolts to ARP head studs for improved head gasket sealing!
Head studs help to locate the head gasket and cylinder head during assembly, which reduces the chance of damage to the head gasket. Studs also provide more accurate and consistent clamping force because the fastener does not twist when you apply your torque wrench. Studs only get installed once (rather than at every rebuild), which reduces the chances of damage to the female threads in the block.
ARP head studs are made from custom-alloyed ARP2000® steel, heat-treated to 220,000 psi tensile strength with J-form threads that are rolled (not cut) after heat treatment (not before) for unmatched strength and precision.
This head stud set fits the Rotax 1503 4-TEC 3-cylinder engine used in Sea-Doo personal watercraft (GTI, GTR, GTX, RXP, RXT) as well as several brands of jet boats (such as Chaparral, Scarab, and Glaston). Includes eight studs with matching hardened washers and 12-point nuts, and a packet of ARP assembly lubricant.
