This brand-new plastic float fits the Weber 40 IDF, 44 IDF, and 48 IDF dual-throat downdraft carburetors (including the new XE Series). Float height is critical to the proper operation of Weber carburetors. A broken float can cause the fuel level to rise too high, causing the car to run rich.
Weber recommends setting the height of this float at 10mm from the top of the float to the bottom of the carb top plate, with the plate held vertically and the float hanging downwards, making light contact with the needle valve. Maximum droop should be 32.5mm from the top front corner of the float to the bottom of the top carb plate. (XE Series measurements should be 11mm and 20mm.)
Sold individually (each carburetor requires 1 float).
