Nut plates are an excellent way to install a captive nut behind a panel. The 10-32 UNF floating nut in this plate allows for some misalignment in assembly. This plate is similar in design to the mil-spec MS20159-3 Floating Nut Plates, but ARP takes the design one step further by making the nut replaceable! A spring clip holds the self-locking nut in the plate, making it easy to install a Replacement 10-32 Nut (Part No. ARP200-9116, sold separately) when the nut wears out.
The base plate, nut, and clip are all plated mild steel. Kit includes one plate with a nut installed. Replacement nuts are available separately.
Note: Although similar in concept, these nut plates are not interchangeable with the MS21059 version and do not conform to NAS1791 specifications. They do not conform to military specifications and they do not come with any certifications.
