This cut-back ground (non-projected gap) style positions the spark approximately 1/16 inch into the combustion chamber to expose the spark to the mixture. The cut-back ground electrode helps to expose the spark to the mixture, while protecting against pre-ignition from an overheated ground electrode.

Replaces discontinued Champion plug C63C.
