ITG foam air filters are supplied dry and must be oiled prior to use. Recent testing by the ITG factory has shown that ITG foam filters treated with Rock Oil actually outlasted similar filters treated with other oils -- including brands previously recommended by ITG!
Rock Oil Factory Eco is a synthetic oil specifically formulated for use on foam air filters. It can be used on any brand of foam, including Pipercross and Uni Foam. This super-sticky oil traps and holds fine dust and dirt that would otherwise get through the foam. The eco-friendly formula contains no solvents, so no separate cleaner is needed. Simply wash the filter with clean water,* and the oil will carry away the dust and dirt. Let the foam dry completely, apply fresh oil, and your filter is ready for use.
* If a different brand of oil was used previously, you may need to use a detergent cleaner. Rock Oil is water-soluble and does not require a detergent.
Rock Oil is supplied in a CFC-free aerosol spray can for easy application. The 400ml (13.5 fl oz) can is enough for several treatments (exact number depends on filter size and type).
