Replace the points and condenser in your Lucas distributor with the solid state reliability and precision of an electronic ignition. The Pertronix system mounts entirely inside the distributor, replacing the points and condenser. The Ignitor is a simple, bolt-on conversion that can be done in less time than it takes to install a new set of points and a condensor -- and it can be quickly converted back to points at the track. The Ignitor II automatically increases dwell time as RPM rises for better spark and more power.
This Ignitor II kit fits the Lucas 43D4 distributor used on the Ford / Cosworth BDD twin cam 4-cylinder engine. 12 volt, negative ground only.
The Pertronix Flame-Thrower II Ignition Coil (Part No. 1315-201, sold separately) is highly recommended with the Ignitor II.
