The Knob with a Brain!
Repeatability is great, until you lose your baseline or forget how far your adjustment has gone. Was it two turns plus three clicks, or three turns plus two clicks? Did I change it again on lap 8?
The brains of the BrakeOMeter remote brake bias bar adjuster are in the special Vernier-style adjustment knob. This precision assembly consists of a center adjusting knob and an outer dial numbered from 0 to 15, with three marks between each number. When you turn the center adjuster knob one click, the outer dial will turn one mark. Each full turn of the center knob moves the outer dial one full number (four clicks per turn, same as most standard knobs). The dial does the counting for you! The supplied zero indicator decal makes it easy to get back to your baseline at any time.
For good measure, the full BrakeOMeter kit also includes the strongest, smoothest remote adjuster cable available anywhere. The heavy-duty outer sheath is PTFE-lined for silky-smooth operation, even with tight bends (3" minimum bend radius). The inner cable is bi-directional wound to avoid unravelling, binding, and wind-up.
This A-16 kit has a full-size X-shaped center knob with a 3" diameter outer dial for use in sedans. Coupler barrels and jam nuts are included to fit common 3/8" and 7/16" bias bars.
We also offer the AR-16 BrakeOMeter knob assembly separately (without cable or couplers) to retrofit your existing bias adjuster cable.
