If you need to use a booster battery to start your car but you prefer alligator-clip jumper cables to our Auxiliary Battery Connector Plugs, these special connectors can make it much easier. They are also a great help when charging an inaccessible battery.
The heavy-duty stud assembly has a thick black plastic collar to insulate power from the surrounding panel. The threaded collar has a special mounting nut (included) to hold the connector firmly in any panel from 1/16" to 3/8" thick. One end of the inner stud is nickel-plated steel and accepts a 3/8" ring terminal (a 3/8-16 UNC nut is included). The other end of the stud has a large brass hex for easy, secure connection to the alligator clip on just about any jumper cable. A black plastic cover is tethered to the mounting nut to cover the hex when not in use. Rated for 350 amps at 12 volts, or 48 volts maximum. Mounts in a 32mm (1.26") hole. Sold individually.

Add a 3/8" Stud Terminal Insulating Boot (Part No. 4435-Black, sold separately) to cover and insulate the inner stud.
