This warning switch is off whenever oil pressure is above 20 psi. If pressure drops below 20 psi, the switch will make contact to turn on your warning light (sold separately). Single-terminal design connects the circuit to chassis ground, so a 2-terminal warning light should be used.
The 1/8 NPT male fitting is easy to install in just about any application. For highest reliability, we recommend isolating pressure switches from engine heat and vibration by using our Combination 4AN Bulkhead Mount and 1/8 NPT Adapter, Part No. 3208-02-04S (sold separately) at the end of a 4AN hose.
This switch is rated for 100 psi operating pressure but can take momentary over-pressures of up to 500 psi. If your engine regularly exceeds 100 psi, the switch should be replaced each season for highest reliability.
