This aluminum fitting is designed to adapt your 6AN plumbing to a female 1/2 BSP (BSPP, British Standard Pipe Parallel) port. One end has 1/2 BSP male threads (0.81", 14 threads per inch) and the other end is a standard 6AN (9/16-18, 37° flare) fitting. Color may vary from photo. Sold individually.
British threaded female ports often have a chamfer for an O-ring to seal the face of the port. If the port face is not chamfered, an aluminum washer or a Dowty seal is generally used to seal the fitting.
Note: BSP and NPT nomenclature can be confusing because the nominal size refers to the inside diameter of the pipe, not the outside diameter of the threads. If you are not sure what size you need, check in our Threaded Fitting Guide.
