The latest SFI-approved HANS Device to feature injection-molded technology, the HANS III is lighter than both the original Sport and the lighter Sport II. The distinctive open backboard (carried over from HANS Devices used in F1 and Indy Car) removes unnecessary material to bring the weight down even closer to the more expensive carbon-fiber Pro models.
Don't let the low weight and low price fool you. A new polymer, together with a completely revised design and strategic reinforcements allow the HANS III to provide the same level of protection that racers have come to expect from HANS Devices over the last 20+ years. The Youth size HANS III is a fully SFI 38.1 approved FHR, legal for auto racing from SCCA to NASCAR.
Each HANS III Device includes Vision Advantage PLUS sliding tethers, black contour padding, two QC (Quick-Click quick-release) helmet anchors, and full instructions. Available in Model 20 (upright seating, for most sedans and sports racers) only.
The Youth size fits younger or smaller drivers with neck sizes measuring 12 1/2" to 14 1/2". Model 20 (20° layback) covers most drivers in most cars, from sedans to sports racers.
