CarbonX can provide critical extra protection when every second counts. Unlike many of the most widely used fire-resistant fabrics on the market today, CarbonX won't char, shrink, or burn when exposed to heat and direct flame. Instead, CarbonX fibers will carbonize and expand, dramatically reducing the oxygen content within the fabric. This gives it performance far superior to other fire retardant fabrics.
This helmet skirt is designed to be attached around the bottom of your helmet shell to block flames from getting into your helmet. Some drivers prefer a helmet skirt like this instead of a head sock to cover long hair or a beard. For the ultimate in protection, use both! Includes a self-adhesive hook-and-loop strip to attach to the helmet opening. SFI 3.3 approved. Black only.
This skirt is designed to fit most helmets up to size Large. Some Extra-Large (or larger) shells may need the CarbonX Large Opening Helmet Skirt, Part No. 2150-003.
