This high-strength forged steel eyebolt is designed for mounting driver restraint harness anti-sub straps with snap-in end plates. Note that the M10 x 1.5 metric thread on this bolt is extremely unusual for seat belt mounting (the industry standard thread is 7/16-20 UNF). This eyebolt is specifically designed for mounting a sub strap* using a seat mounting bolt (not all seat mounting bolts have this thread, so be sure to check yours).
The length of the shank is about 0.81 inches (measured from the shoulder). The 15mm ID and 7.5mm thick ring work with standard snap-in end plates (sold separately). Sold individually.
* Note: Not recommended for mounting lap belts or shoulder belts! Most production-based cars have 7/16-20 threaded inserts in the chassis where the OEM seat belts mount. The automaker spent a lot of time, money, and engineering brainpower to ensure that those inserts would be strong enough for seat belt mounting. The seat mounting points are designed to a very different set of standards. This is why the seat mounting points should only be used to anchor the anti-sub straps.
