From the machined billet aluminum base, to the stainless hardware, to the aerodynamic carbon fiber housing, the quality and attention to detail on these formula car mirrors are obvious.
A ball joint at the mounting flange and a recessed ball joint where the stem meets the housing give them a wider range of adjustment than most competitors. Unlike the others, you can re-adjust the housing to horizontal regardless of stem position. Both joints have set screws which must be tightened after the mirror is adjusted. The housing pivot is located at the center of the housing, which allows the same mirror to fit either left or right side. The mirror glass is fixed in the housing.
The Super Elliptical mirrors have an oversized wide-angle convex lens (approximately 2" high x 5 1/4" wide) which is larger than the Club Series mirrors, making it even easier to spot cars that are not directly behind you. Each mirror mounts with two 10-32 flat head screws (furnished). The base and angled stem are anodized black aluminum. The housing is genuine carbon fiber, not plastic with a pattern printed on.
