This 5 1/2" metallic clutch disc fits the Tilton OT-III Single Disc Racing Clutch (Part No. 173-60). This paddle-style disc has four individual friction segments for lower rotational inertia than a standard full-circle disc. A generous radius between the paddles also minimizes hub plate cracking due to slight misalignments in the drivetrain. The downside is slightly higher wear rate due to the overall decrease in friction material.
The 1" x 23 spline pattern fits the 2.0L Ford SOHC Pinto engine. Not interchangeable with the 1x23 45 degree "Mopar" spline size. This disc has a standard-thickness ("A"-type) hub. Sold individually.
Tilton's minimum recommended clutch disc thickness is 0.074" in single-disc clutches. New clutch discs measure 0.104" thick.
