This is the same top-quality SPA Design F1 Involute Spline Quick Release Steering Hub (formerly Part No. 3405), except for the addition of a pre-wired 8 pin Lemo connector set. The electrical connections are automatically engaged or disengaged when the steering wheel is installed or removed. This hub makes it easy to add a variety of functions to your steering wheel without having to fumble with a separate connector.
A special tool is furnished to allow removal of the connector from the splined shaft to avoid damage to the connector caused by welding heat. The male slug has 20mm splines and gets welded to your 5/8" diameter shaft. The hub attaches to your steering wheel with a 50mm three hole pattern using 10-32 bolts (furnished). We also offer a Euro QR Hub to 6-Bolt Steering Wheel Adapter (Part No. SP QRA-103, sold separately) to accept OMP, Momo, and Sparco wheels with the standard 6x70mm hole pattern. FIA and SFI approved.
