This great little pump eliminates your remote oil filter head and the associated oil lines. This may not sound like much but it significantly cleans up an engine compartment while eliminating several potential leak points and saving weight.
Every pump is dyno tested and leak tested to 150psi at the factory to ensure quality. The .624" wide pressure rotor and 1.00" wide scavenge rotor give this pump enough capacity for a Ford Cosworth BDA/BDD Formula Atlantic engine. (Note that the standard super-short filter included with the pump is marginal for engines turning much more than 7000 RPM; we recommend a larger filter for Formula A applications.)
A wide selection of flanged, bolt-on fittings (sold seperately) allow the pump to be configured for BSP or AN hose ends. You must order three fittings separately (one scavenge inlet from the pan, one scavenge outlet to the tank, and one supply inlet from the tank).
When the pump is ready for a rebuild, the complete rebuild kit includes both rotor sets, the hardened and ground shaft, and a hardened scroll drive gear. You don't need to worry about driving out pins or cross-drilling a new shaft to match your old gear.
Note: This filter will not allow the use of the standard side (4-bolt) engine mount, as the filter occupies the space needed by the engine mount (see photo). The pump is 3.25" deep from the block to the end of the pump (the pressure relief adjusting screw sticks out approximately 0.75" further).
