Brand: Aurora Bearing Company
Many racing shock absorbers come from the factory with inexpensive "split race" spherical bearings. Instead of a solid race formed around the ball, these OEM bearings have a thin race which is split to allow it to stretch over the ball. This results in a very low-strength bearing with very wide tolerances. That is because they were originally intended for static applications. That's hardly what you want in your racing shocks!
This high-quality bearing is designed to replace the original "fractured race" GE-12E bearing found on many racing shocks. The self-lubricating PTFE liner bonded to the inside of the race eliminates the need for grease or oil, while at the same time making the tolerance much tighter. This allows much higher rotational speeds than the original metal-on-metal design. Sold individually.
