The latest all-in-one controller from Davies Craig is capable of managing an electric coolant pump or an electric fan, or both at once!
The full-function 2 9/16" wide white-on-black LCD screen displays system status (including temperature set point, pump and fan on/off, and warnings) and doubles as a coolant temperature gauge. Single-button programming makes it quick and easy to change the target temperature at any time. You can set the target temperature in 1° C increments from 40° C* to 100° C (104° F to 212° F).*
The pump will pulse at half-speed until the engine warms up to 5° C (10° F) below the set point, when it will begin to run steadily. If the coolant temperature rises more than 3° C (5° F) above the set point, the fan will also run. After the engine is shut off, the controller will continue to run the pump for up to 3 minutes to avoid heat soak.
Complete kit includes LCD controller/monitor, mounting brackets**, wiring harness, sensor with 1/4 NPT male thread, and a special in-line sensor adapter (mounts in any radiator hose with 30mm - 42mm / 1 5/16" - 1 5/8" ID). The sensor can also be installed in your radiator or thermostat housing if preferred. Monitor unit measures 98mm Wide x 95mm High x 25mm Deep (3.8" W x 3.7" H x 1" D). Operates on 12 to 29 VDC.
* The previous 8001 controller only went down to 60C (140F).
** The previous 8001 controller was mounted with hook-and-loop tape; this is still an option included with the kit.
