The 12 volt (nominal) ML20C battery is the same size as a standard Group 20 motorcycle battery (7.2" L x 3.65" W x 6.2" H, positive terminal on the right), but it packs an incredible 1325 pulse cranking amps. The carbon-fiber case keeps the weight down to just 6.1 pounds. The 13.8v actual voltage provides even more starting power for high-compression 4- and 6-cylinder racing engines. The LAh rating of 48 gives it cranking performance similar to a 48 Ah lead-acid battery. The ML20C carries a true 16 Amp-hour rating, but with much more consistent voltage under load than any 16 Ah lead-acid battery.

The ML20C is the second-largest battery in the Micro-Lite series. It is the spec battery for Dallara Indy Lights and is used extensively in FA, USF2000, and Pro Mazda. The ML20C has even won the Daytona 500! This size is ideal for modified 4- and 6-cylinder cars with low to moderate electrical demands. It is perfect for Import Tuners, 4- or 6-cylinder racecars with alternators, or carbureted small formula cars. (Not recommended for daily-driven vehicles with high electrical demands like aftermarket stereo equipment or auxiliary lighting.) Unlike most competitors, Braille lithium batteries can be used in racecars with total-loss electrical systems. Braille batteries are also compatible with all automotive charging systems. The unique convertible terminals accept either 1/4" ring terminals or standard SAE clamp-on terminals. Braille batteries are made in the USA.

Note: Never use a trickle charger or standard lead-acid battery charger on a lithium-ion battery. These batteries have a very low self-discharge rate in storage; however, a charger should be used for long-term storage of vehicles with a parasitic drain (computer memory, alarm, etc).
