Weber DCOE dual-throat sidedrafts are considered by many to be the definition of a performance carburetor. The range of venturi (choke) sizes and the ease of changing jets make it the carburetor of choice for many performance upgrades.
The 55 size can be tuned to work with a wide range of engines, from 3000cc to 4000cc. Multiple carburetors can be used to feed engines up to 5 liters (300-600cc cylinder volume per throat). These carburetors include short airhorns. The current 55 DCO/ SP model (made in Spain) replaces the older 55 DCOE, but some parts do not interchange. All of the jets are the same as on the older version. Sold individually.
Note: For many years, Weber supplied these carburetors as either a "right side" or "left side" version, depending on which side the linkage was on. Current production carbs are known as "unified" and include provisions for mounting linkages on either side. The same carb can now be used as either right or left. Includes a right-side linkage (the linkage is on your right as you look into the airhorns).
