Fuel cell foam reduces fuel sloshing and minimizing the chance of explosions, but it does deteriorate over time. As the foam breaks down, it can quickly clog fuel filters, fuel pumps, and carburetors. We recommend replacing fuel cell foam baffling at least every three years.
This 10cm x 10cm x 10cm (3.94" x 3.94" x 3.94") block can be trimmed with scissors or a knife to fit custom or wedge-shaped Formula car cells. The open-cell foam is 98% open, so it displaces just 4% fuel volume. The yellow polyester is FIA-approved and compatible with hydrocarbon fuels (gasoline and diesel) as well as gas/alcohol blends up to E85. Not for use with straight alcohol fuels. Sold individually.
