The CompGate40 from Turbosmart is a very flexible and versatile external wastegate designed for V-band clamp mounting to 1.75" OD pipe. Although already motorsport-proven to be the highest-flowing 40mm wastegate available, the GenV is the result of a total redesign -- only the mounting remained the same from the Gen4 version! Of course, this also makes the GenV an easy retrofit in place of earlier generation WG40s.
This version features a black anodized aluminum housing and has the 14 psi spring installed from the factory, but the kit includes all three alternate springs as well. Mix and match to tune the boost signal pressure anywhere from 3 to 26 psi. The top cap features dual 1/8 NPT female reference ports, and it can be rotated to clock the ports in the most convenient direction.
The CompGate40 also has a provision for liquid cooling, but most applications will not need it because testing has shown the CompGate40 capable of handling EGTs up to 1250° C (2280° F) for 30 minutes without cooling -- three times as much heat as the competition. When you add liquid cooling, the CompGate40 is suitable for 24-hour racing at the same EGTs.
Kit includes a pair of stainless steel V-band clamps, inlet and outlet weld flanges (304 alloy SS, 1.75" OD), four 1/8 NPT plugs, two 1/8 NPT barbed fittings, and the special locking collar tool. Most installations (except when replacing a similar wastegate) will require some fabriciation.
