These brand-new brass floats fit the Weber 32/36 DGV (including 5A), DGAV, DGEV, and 38 DGAS carburetors. Float height is critical to the proper operation of Weber progressive carburetors. A broken float can cause the fuel level to rise too high, causing the car to run rich. A leaking float will sink, leading to a lean condition. Sold individually.
Weber recommends setting the height of a brass float at 41mm from the bottom of the float to the bottom of the carb top plate, with the plate held vertically and the float hanging downwards, making light contact with the needle valve. (Racing engine builders often recommend adjusting this height to 39mm for a richer mixture in FF1600 racing.)
Note: Does not fit DFV series (DFAV/DFEV). DFV carburetors must use the plastic float (Part No. 1586-20-Plastic).
