This special tool releases the retaining tabs to safely and easily remove Weather Pack socket and pin terminals from Weather Pack connector bodies.
To remove a terminal from a connector:
1. Open the connector body by unsnapping the retainer at the back (wire end) of the connector.
2. From the front (terminal end) of the connector, place the hollow end of the removal tool over the terminal to be removed.
3. Press the tool into the connector body to retract the terminal retaining tabs.
4. Gently pull the terminal out the back of the connector body (away from the removal tool).
Note that you may need to push the terminal slightly deeper into the connector body (into the removal tool) to help free the retaining tabs from the connector body.
The same tool works on both pin (male) and socket (female) Weather Pack terminals. Not guaranteed to work on any other brand or design. Handle color and design may vary from photo.
