Our EGT probe is only .161 inch diameter and 1 inch long, so it causes no measurable power loss and thus can be used at all times. Installation simply involves drilling a 3/16 inch hole in the header pipe approximately 6 inches from the head and tightening the integral screw type hose clamp. The 44 inch armored cable connects directly to your gauge or to one of our extension cables.
For use with our Single EGT Gauge (Part No. 1081) or Dual EGT Gauge (Part No. 1082). Gauges are sold separately. Single EGT gauges require one probe; dual EGT gauges require two probes. Probes sold individually.
Hint: A thin metal shim between the hose clamp and the header tube will allow this probe to fit the 1.5" diameter primary tubes typically used on FF1600 headers.
