This single CHT gauge displays cylinder head temperatures from 100° to 700° F (50° to 350° C). Mounts in a compact 2" diameter hole. Simple 2-wire hookup to the thermocouple (sold separately).
Requires one "Type J" sender such as our 14mm Ring-Type CHT Thermocouple (Part No. WBT-712-4) or 12mm Ring-Type CHT Thermocouple (Part No. WBT-712-8WK), sold separately.
Thermocouple gauges such as this require no connection to the vehicle battery. The thermocouple probe generates a small current based on the difference in temperature between the hot (probe) end and the cold (cable) end. This gauge is calibrated for 70° F ambient temperature at the cold end. Ambient temperatures higher than 70° F will cause the gauge to read lower. For example, 100° F ambient temperature will cause the gauge to read 30° F low.
