You won't worry about dropping or losing any parts with these heavy-duty hood pins! The spring-loaded clevis pins always stay attached to the stainless steel retainer plates, which get riveted or screwed to the hood surface. Since the clevis pins slide in a channel in the retainer plates, they're also much easier than conventional hood pins to fasten in a hurry.
The 7/16 inch diameter steel hood pins measure 4 1/2 inches from the clevis pin opening to the bottom of the pin and has 20 threads per inch.. The threaded portion extends form the bottom of the pin to within 1 inch of the clevis pin hole. The clevis pins are a full 1/4 inch diameter, making these assemblies among the strongest available. The retainer plates measure 1 1/2 inch wide x 3 1/2 inch long. Sold in pairs (2 hood pins, 2 retainer plates with captive clevis pins) with all necessary mounting hardware.
