This solid stainless steel latch is popular on many race cars for securing bodywork, but it is great for many other applications as well. The narrow, 5/8 inch body (15/16" wide spring link), makes it ideal for tight spaces. The spring-temper bowed latch link absorbs shock loads and vibration, which can help protect bodywork.
The latch can draw together up to 0.60 inch when closed. Working strength is 100 pounds (ultimate strength is 700 pounds). Two 0.167 inch diameter mounting holes in the base accept #8 screws or 5/32" rivets (sold separately). The body of the latch is also drilled for safety wire to prevent accidental opening. Sold individually. The Strike Plate (Part No. 3041) is sold separately.
Note: Latches are sold individually. Two latches are shown in photograph to illustrate the open and closed positions. Strike plate is sold separately.
