Brand: Facet-Purolator
This low-pressure cube-style pump is recommended by Facet for most imported cars running low-pressure carburetors (Weber, SU, Solex, etc). It is the recommended replacement for the obsolete mechanical fuel pump on FF1600 engines. A pressure regulator is not needed with this pump.
For moderate fuel requirements of engines up to about 150 horsepower, a single Solid State fuel pump like this one is usually sufficient. Facet fuel pumps have low power requirements (about 1 amp at 12 volts) and operate without troublesome seals or diaphragms. Built-in pressure relief means no flooding after shutting down a hot engine. Facet pumps are compatible with gasoline, alcohol blends (up to and including E85), diesel, biodiesel, and fuel additives.
Maximum fuel delivery 28 gallons per hour. Maximum pressure 1.5 to 4.5 psi. Typical flow 15 gallons per hour at 2 psi. This fuel delivery can support up to 150 HP. Use two pumps in parallel for higher-output engines. Two-wire hookup and electrically isolated body mean that this pump can be easily installed in a positive-ground application. 1/8 NPT female ports.
This pump does not have an anti-siphon valve or a one-way valve, so fuel can flow freely in either direction when the pump is turned off. This makes it ideal for use as a priming or occasional-use booster pump inline with your functioning mechanical pump. Facet pump number 40104 (supercedes Facet number 480614). This pump is packaged as Facet kit number FEP42SV, which includes mounting hardware, a 5/16" barbed outlet fitting, and 74 micron inlet filter with a 5/16" hose barb.
Beware of counterfeits! We only sell Genuine Facet pumps - not the unreliable foreign knock-offs sold elsewhere.
