Arm restraints are designed to keep a driver's arms inside the vehicle during a roll-over. They are required by most North American racing organizations in cars with open cockpits.
The two arm cuffs are joined by a strap with a loop in the middle. Simply thread the lap belt end tab through the loop before buckling the belt. This allows the arms to be free as soon as the belt buckle is released. Works with any lap belt, Camlock or Latch & Link.
These arm restraints are very restrictive and will prevent the driver from giving hand signals. They are designed specifically for open-wheel circle track racing (sprint cars, midgets, etc) where the car is very likely to roll over. Road racers should use our Separate Strap Arm Restraints (Part No. 2322). The separate strap design is less restrictive and can be adjusted to allow the use of hand signals.
