If you have ever run over a tow strap, you will appreciate the Tow Snake! This brilliantly simple tow strap has an elastic cord to take up any slack in the strap. Once the strap is tight, all of the vehicle load is pulled by the heavy-duty 2" wide nylon webbing. Any time the strap goes slack, the elastic band "coils" the strap, supporting it and keeping it out of harm's way. The coiling effect also gives a great visual indicator of when the strap is tight or slack.
A sewn loop is provided at each end (just the right size to slip over a trailer hitch ball). 10,000 pound rated strap with a 3,333 pound working load limit will pull most race cars. The 15 foot strap coils to approximately 7.5 feet; the 20 foot strap coils to approximately 10 feet. Either size will work with cars with tow hooks on the front of the car. The 20 foot strap is recommended for cars with tow hooks on the roof, or towing by the rollbar (including formula cars and open sports racers).
