These hand-held fire extinguishers are ideal for vehicles that do not require a plumbed-in fire system.* Each extinguisher includes a metal mounting bracket with a quick-release buckle. The gas extinguishing agent leaves no residue, which makes it a great choice for antique and show cars.
The FK‑5‑1‑12 fire suppressing agent (formerly marketed by 3M™ as Novec™ 1230) is the latest "green" replacement for ozone-depleting Halon. FK‑5‑1‑12 is ozone-friendly, non-corrosive (safe for electronics), alcohol-resistant (effective on methanol fires), and non-conductive (effective on Electric and Hybrid vehicles as well as Lithium battery fires). It is stored as a liquid under pressure that releases as a gas, which means zero cleanup afterwards. Unlike Halon (and many of its replacements), FK‑5‑1‑12 is non-toxic, which makes it ideal for use in confined spaces.

The 2.0 kg (4.4 lb) bottle measures 4.25" OD x 15.5" long.
The 3.0 kg (6.6 lb) bottle measures 4.25" OD x 18" long.
