This high-quality hose is designed for use in applications where stainless braided hose is not required. It has a special textile braid reinforcement and a blue elastomer cover over a synthetic nitrile lining. The wide operating temperature of -40°C to 150°C (-40°F to 302°F) and 250 psi operating pressure rating (1,000 psi burst pressure) make this hose perfect for oil lines (not recommended for gasoline). (Many of our dry sump oil pans and pumps are designed to use the -12 / 3/4" ID size as the scavenge hose.)
Besides being lower in cost than braided stainless hose, the special barbed hose ends are available in BSP threads as well as AN sizes. This makes it easy to adapt to British oil coolers, oil pumps, etc. To secure this hose to a barbed fitting, we recommend Oetiker Hose Clamps (Part No. 3295-Size, sold separately). These maintain proper tension after many heating and cooling cycles, which standard hose clamps cannot. This hose is an NHRA-accepted "Woven-Pushlock Line". Also available in black (Part No. 3491).

Note: This hose is not recommended for use with fuels containing alcohol, or for fuel injection systems. Alcohols and the oxidized fuel present in EFI systems will attack the nitrile lining.
