The Tech 1-ZX glove from Alpinestars is designed to be thin and lightweight while providing excellent protection. Special printed grip material across the palm, thumb, and fingers provide traction without bulk. For 2017, the inside of the palm also has a lightly sprayed coating of latex to prevent your hand from slipping around inside the glove.

Also new for 2017 is the 2-layer construction, with both layers of flame-retardant aramid fabric bonded together to prevent slippage. Reversed stitching on the four fingers and the sides of the hand reduce pressure points. Precurved fingers further reduce bunching when gripping the wheel. All graphics are printed (not embroidered) to reduce excess weight. Even the FIA homologation tag is printed on the gauntlet. A mid-length slash-cut gauntlet and elastic wrist round out the package. FIA 8856-2000 homologated and SFI 3.3/5 approved.

All colors have a black palm and gauntlet. The printed grip material is a mix of black, white, and the gloves' accent color:
Black is black with white and silver Alpinestars logos and accents.
Blue is black with light blue and white Alpinestars logos and accents.
Navy Blue is dark blue with white and red Alpinestars logos and accents.
Red, Orange, and Yellow are dark grey with Alpinestars logos and accents in white and the respective color.

To find glove size, measure around the largest part of the hand over the knuckles while making a fist, excluding the thumb.
