The Alpinestars GP Tech 3-layer driver's suit was designed in collaboration with pro drivers from F1, WEC, and NASCAR to eliminate all compromises. The matte (not shiny) Nomex® outer layer is backed up by a flame-retardant aramid knit lining to protect without bulk. The v4 revision boasts an Alpinestars-exclusive twill outer shell that is more breathable than before, without any additional weight. Knit panels at the knees, in the crotch, up the sides of the torso, on the elbows, and across the small of the back provide freedom of movement and ventilation. Even detail areas like the knit wrist and ankle cuffs have been lightened to minimize weight and bulk.

The twill (not shiny) outer layer is available in three bold yet restrained color combinations:
Black is basic black all over, with white Alpinestars logos.
Navy Blue (shown) is very dark blue with black knit inserts and cuffs, white Alpinestars logos, and a bright red accent up the back of each calf.
White/Black white with black knit inserts and cuffs, red Alpinestars logos, and red epaulets.
