The GP Race from Alpinestars is a mid-level driver's suit that combines professional comfort and style with an excellent price. The v2 has 3 layers of flame-retardant aramid fabrics, yet it is more breathable than the previous 2-layer version. Knit panels around the arms, in the small of the back, and in the crotch provide freedom of movement and ventilation. The back panel has also been redesigned to allow more comfortable arm movement when seated. Convenient pockets are located at the side of the thighs to avoid breaking up the overall suit style. "Boot cut" legs hide the ankle cuffs inside conventional-looking straight legs for a contemporary look.

The matte (non-shiny) outer layer is available in six color combinations:
