Fire-resistant undergarments provide a dramatic increase in protection when worn with a driver's suit. Flame resistant underwear and socks are required by many race sanctioning bodies.
The super-light OMP Tecnica long underwear bottoms are made of a very smooth single layer soft knit blend of flame-retardant aramid fibers. This is not the rough "waffle weave" fabric. Special extra-breathable fabric are strategically placed to allow perspiration to evaporate without sacrificing protection. External flat seams add to comfort. Per FIA requirements, there is no front fly opening to sacrifice safety. FIA 8856-2000 homologated.
Note: These bottoms have a slim, athletic cut with increased elasticity to avoid bunching and bagginess. They are designed to fit a little tight.
