Fire-retardant undergarments provide a dramatic increase in protection when worn with a driver's suit. Flame resistant underwear and socks are required by many race sanctioning bodies.
The Sabelt UI-100 long underwear bottom is made of a very comfortable soft knit single layer blend of 50% Nomex® and 50% Viscose (a plant-based, moisture-wicking, inherently fire-resistant fiber). This is not the old rough "waffle weave" fabric! The cut is slightly generous for maximum comfort and less binding. Bottoms feature a very narrow elastic waist and no front fly opening to compromise safety. Available in bright White or black. FIA 8856-2000 approved.
