Ford Racing Roller Camshafts for 302 (5.0L) HO V8

In 1985, Ford introduced hydraulic roller tappet camshafts on the 302 (5.0L) HO engine for the Mustang and Lincoln Mark VII LSC. Roller camshafts offer better durability and higher RPM capability than flat-tappet cams. All of the camshafts shown here offer good idle quality and low RPM torque.

*Measured with 1.60 ratio rockers on 1985+ 302 roller cam engine. Different blocks and different ratio rockers will yield different results. For comparison, the stock 5.0L HO camshaft advertised specs are 266° / 266° duration and 0.444" valve lift.
