HANS Devices, Model 20 for Sedans

For most sedans and sports racers

The Model 20 HANS Device is designed for most upright applications, including the all sedans and most sports cars. The Model 20 is also preferred by some very slim drivers in more reclined seats. Barrel-chested drivers may find the Model 30 more comfortable, even in upright seats.

To find the best angle for your application, sit in your car and measure the angle of your chest from vertical. If the angle is 25 degrees or less, the Model 20 is probably best for you. If the angle is more than 25 degrees, you may want to try the Model 30. Note that driver comfort is the bottom line, regardless of what the math may say. If the Model 20 pushes on your chest and hits the headrest, try the Model 30.

To determine the correct size, measure your neck and follow the chart below. Note that not all sizes are available in all series.

* Drivers with highly developed neck and trapezuis muscles may require one size larger than their neck size alone would indicate. Again, driver comfort is the deciding factor.
