The latest SFI-approved HANS Device to feature injection-molded technology, the HANS III is lighter than both the original Sport and the lighter Sport II. The distinctive open backboard (carried over from HANS Devices used in F1 and Indy Car) removes unnecessary material to bring the weight down even closer to the more expensive carbon-fiber Pro models. The Large size HANS III weighs 1.8 pounds -- that's probably lighter than your helmet.
