Kevin Magnusson walked away from a horrific crash at SPA in 2016 because his Renault R.S.16 F1 car was equipped with an OMP harness. The forces recorded in the crash were significantly higher than the forces in FIA tests, but OMP harnesses are carefully designed with a large safety margin. OMP harnesses don't just pass the FIA tests, they crush them!
All of these OMP 6-point harnesses are homologated to the tough new FIA 8853-2016 standard.
